Default USB 2.0 ports not working

So I don't think my 2.0 USB ports are working...I have Service Pack 2 installed in XP though, and it's enabled in the BIOS.. Any ideas? Here's what my device manager looks like. Looks like I only have one 2.0 port, and I don't even know where it is. I have two ports on the front of my case, and 4 on the back (motherboard). Thanks!

Hey there,

What makes you think that your USB 2.0 ports are not working, are you trying to connect something (e.g that USB camera)?

Most USB ports do not show up as being 2.0 in device manager.

Could you post the make/model of your motherboard.

Well when I plug in my mp3 player it says something along the lines of 'this device could be faster on 2.0, it is connected to a low-speed usb blah blah' or something of that nature. Is there any program that lets me test the speed on a usb port??

My motherboard is an Asus A8v.

Does that only happen when you plug your mp3 player in or does it happen to other devices as well?

Could you run the windows update utility and download all available updates.
