Im thinking can it be ****py ram? I mean its 2GB but maybe its messed up or something.

Or the CPU? Its a Pentium M, The one with a white logo instead of the centrino logo. Not a P4M but PM. Maybe its cache is ****py or something.

I have 5 IE pages open and cand open the 6th lol.

I have to close em all down first.

When the problem occurs I lose the (File Edit View Fav Tools Help) Toolbar on the top of IE. I cant open any program whatsoever. When I right click things it acts and shows diff things than normal. I have to close some progs or the comp acts wierd. The left panel in my coputer which shows details and all that dissapears.

Then I close a couple pages and boom its fixed. I wanna smash it so bad, I lost tons of work cause of this ****py computer.

Anyway I bet im doing something wrong, prolly something easy aswell

Thanks again for listening to me b** about this.

Wow! :o

I can only imagine what that must be like to have so many open! Welcome to the forums cyptc, Joe will let you know the state of your log, but could you also run an Ewido scan and post that too mate?

As a side suggestion, would it be better if you tried Firefox or Opera? That way, you can open new tabs instead of windows, should save you a lot of space.

Hi cyptc

Deffo not a problem with hardware, im thinking off the top of my head that either the temp itenternet files/cookies need clearing, or maybe an antivirus/firewall issue, other that that i dont have a clue.

Hopefully the tech guys can pin point it.

No malware problems sofar.

But i would disable the windows messenger service:

Please download Shoot The Messenger

Download and run the small (22 kbyte) "ShootTheMessenger.exe" utility. It will display the current status of your system's Messenger Service. The button near the bottom of its window will allow you to set the service to whichever state ? running or disabled ? that you desire.

If, for any reason, you should ever choose to re-enable the Windows Messenger Service, simply re-run ShootTheMessenger to do so.
And these can be fixed with hjt:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
And i would strongly advice to uninstall these apps:

CachemanXP
FreeRAM XP Pro
CyberLat RAM Cleaner

Apps like that are not needed with XP and do more harm then good. They might even be the cause of youre problem.

And i would also advice to update windows to be better protected.

Can you also post the Ewido log?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I installed the Ram programs to monitor my CPU and ram and cache etc.. after the problem. I dont use such progs but had to see what was the problem.

Here is the Ewido log I have attached that aswell

The reason I dont update windows to SP2 is cause it wont read my bluetooth which is a common problem with SP2.

Thanks once again.

Regards.
