I have a older dell computer that I was going to use on my
home network. tried to boot it up (windows xp home edition) and get a
blue screen unmountable_boot_ volume stop: OX00000ED OX82BD68E8
In my move, I have lost any windows cd's , so how do I get this computer
going again. I tried booting up in safe modes, but get same blue screen?

Howdy tidhoca and welcome to the forums
If you do not have the XP disc there may be only one solution and hopefully it works.. Go into your BIOS by pressing ESC or DEL when turning on the pc. Go and find where it will tell you what number to press if you want to load Fail-safe defaults. Then press F10 to save and exit. If you can find if you are using a UDMA hd. DO you have a floppy drive on that pc?
