Hi Nanlawson,Welcome to PCHF. We have a terrific team of techs here, and I am sure that we will be able to resolve this problem. First thing is that I want to move your post to the WinXP forum, I think it will be more appropriately advised there. In the mean time. Can you please answer a few questions? When did you lose functionality of your Flash player? Have you recently installed any new hard or software? Does this problem occur on all games you try to play, or just on some of them? Have you completely uninstalled and reinstalled Flashplayer, and Shockwave? Looking forward to your reply, TTFN LGW

I lost functionality about 1 week ago. Yes, I have installed AVG antivirus program, removed Anti Vir SE personal d/t not being sure whether it was interfering with Avg free version, updated vs. of QuicktTime player, Sandboxie, EditPad. When on IE vs.6, I have Advanced serachbar & the msg appears when trying to play some of the games on it such as:Space invaders, asteroids, etc. And no, I haven't tried uninstalling & re-installing the players yet; exactly what do you mean by 'completely' uninstalled? And thanks for your help!!!!

Hey Nan,
A complete uninstall would consist of uninstalling the program, and then doing either a registry cleaning to make sure that all traces of the program were removed, or doing a manual registry search, (much more difficult, and hazardous.) Did you notice if your Flashplayer works with any other programs? Have you done any tests on the Flash site? Did you happen to notice if the problems occured after any of the recent installs? Looking forward to your reply, TTFN LGW
