Default Something wrong with desktop

There is a pink strip going vertically down on the right of my desktop...I do not know hot it got there, because my sister was on the computer. I have tried restarting the computer, and changing the colour of my desktop but it does not go away, it goes over the open windows (I can see it when even I am typing this) does anyone know what this problem is? I can send you a screenshot if you would like.

Hello hsd1 and welcome to the forums,
Yes could you please post a screenshot for us. So we can see if it is an artifact or not.

Have you tried right clicking your desktop and going to desktop and changing the wallpaper?

Hi hsd1,

Welcome to PCHF!

When you're on your desktop, hold Ctrl and press Prt Scr. Then go to paint and go to Edit > Paste. Save the file, and post here mate.
