Default Moving XP to a new drive?

I'm looking to move XP (sp2) to another of my drives but i'm not to sure how to go about it. I've googled it with little luck.

My PC has two hard drives - one that is partitioned into C D and E (for some unknown reason) and another that is 150gb (F).

I am looking to either transfer windows (C) to my F drive (bearing in mind it has 50gb of data on it all ready) or merge the CDE partitions into one without data loss. I have tried this once before but erased one of my drive and i don't want to do that again! I'm willing to buy any software that will do the job. I already have Norton Ghost from my last partitioning experiment.

Please could someone help me out.

Hi britishchamp,

Welcome to PCHF!

You say you have Ghost, have you tried ghosting the drive that has XP on it (C), onto the F: drive? If you ghost over to F:, you can then merge your C:, D: and E: partitions to one, without fear of losing data. Or is that what you meant when you said you'd tried in the past?
