Default [Fixed] - My PC is not starting properly

For some reason when I turn on my PC it starts normally at first by going to a blue viglen screen, then goes to a black screen for about 15 seconds and then reverts back to the blue screen again. It keeps doing this repeatedly and meanwhile a sequence of letter/numbers appear in the bottom right corner of the screen in this order: 95, 58, 5A, EB, 94, 5A, EB, 0, 5A. And then it repeats again when the blue screen comes back on.

I'm currently posting this from a laptop, but if anyone could tell me what the hell is happening I'd be very grateful.

Thanks.

Hey there howler 989 and welcome to PCHF.

Can you confirm that your PC doesn't get to the 'Starting Windows Screen'?

It seems like there may be a problem with the BIOS not detecting the hard drive, if you leave your machine on and when the blue viglen screen appears try to press ESC or TAB and see if the screen disappears.
If it does can you see any error messages?

Could you also try to boot into your BIOS and reset to default settings, and then make sure that your hard drive is being detected in the BIOS.
  • Do you know what might have caused this e.g has anything been installed or upgraded recently?

SUCCESS!

I reset the BIOS to the default settings and it worked and Windows has come on. Thanks so much because I really wouldn't have thought to do that and probably would have had to take it somewhere.
