Alright... so i was trying to fix a problem by making a partition of some sort, I don't remember why, but whatever...

So now i have this partition.... And i think i made it wrong... lol. for some reason it was called "New Folder"

Now, my problem... inside the partition ("New Folder") there is a folder called "New Folder" and its a copy of the partition! and inside that there is a copy, and inside that... etc. So i have files that are (this is NO exageration what so ever!)

C:\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\New Folder\blah.dll

It actually got to the point that the computer doesnt even recognize any more New Folders.

Now.. you would think a simple deleting ofhte partition would handle it... but nooo it wont let me delete it! Now this is bad cause i guess there is a virus in the partition, so there are like a bajillion copies of it, cause each new folder has one!

Did you try booting into safe mode (F8) then right clicking on my computer...Clicking manage...then disk management..then right click the partition you think has the virus on it and click format... It may say there may be blah blah on this disk click yes and it should reformat it without all of the extra folders.

Follow asa_snipers advice about formatting the partition, if you are unable to format it then try to delete the partition and then recreate it.

• What software did you initially use to partition the drive?
• You say you might have a virus on your system, are you currently using any antivirus software, if so which type?
