Hi PlasticLipGloss,

From browsing the web, it seems to be a registry problem. If you're not comfortable changing your registry, then please say, and i'll try and find an alternative.

It sounds like Windows has somehow garbled its default action when double-clicking files. To fix the problem, you’ll need to edit the Registry: click Start -> Run, type regedit and press [Enter]. Browse to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Drive \ shell. Double-click the (Default) value in the right-hand pane and change its value from Find to none. Now browse to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Directory \ shell and verify that its (Default) value is also set to none (change it if it isn’t). Once done, close Registry Editor and you should be able to access your files normally again.

I hope this helps.
