Default DVD/CD burner error!!

I'm trying to burn a audio cd and it's telling me to put a blank disk in and retry when the disk I'm putting in is brand new. Why is it telling me that, is it because the software burner may need updating or corrupt, or what? By the way, the software burner is from sonic.

Hya Mario , welcome to PCHF.

Have you been able to burn cd's before with this setup? Also are the discs compatible with youre burner?

And have you also tried different brands of cd's?

Of course I've been able to use this burner before. And yes the disk is compatible with the burner. No I have not used any other brand. What do you think it could be?

Out of interest are you trying to fit too many songs onto the CD, this can sometimes cause this error.
Try removing a couple of tracks and see if it burns, maybe for test sake try burning 1 song.

This happened to me while back - well the burner wouldnt copy a cd - it turned out the amount I was trying to burn was too large. Like Zimbo said take some off I'd say.

Ok! That sound like a good idea. I will try it and let you know.
