On that 1st website you gave me, it says:
Remove the current signature file. To do this, click
Start, click
Run, type Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}, and then click
OK.
I do that specifically, and it says:
- Are you sure you want to uninstall this product? I click Yes.
Then it says: "This Installation Package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."
On the 2nd website it says:
Uninstall the Windows Defender beta 2 definition file, and then replace it with the most current version of the file. To do this, follow these steps: A. Follow the steps in the "Resolution" section of Microsoft Knowledge Base article 915105 to uninstall the current definition file.
915105 Error message after you reinstall Windows Defender Beta 2: “Windows Defender definitions haven’t been updated”
Thats exactly the same thing in the first website. I go to Start;Run; And then type in Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C} to remove the current signature and it gives me that Error Message.
This problem could be occuring because Windows Defender is BETA right now. The new real version is not out yet.
