Try to get in youre bios again the way Hengis instructed. When you get to that error you are already past the bios. An ntldr missing error doesn't have to be a hardware error , it is more likely a setting/software problem.
But if you set the bootorder in order and boot from the XP cd you should be able to install windows normally on there.
