Default All registering Screens Blank

Good morning all. For the last while anytime I have something installed, when I go to register ie. QuickBooks, Norton etc. the screen to enter the registration number is blank. I've been told it's the ActiveX problem, but I've ruled that out (I think) by checking the regedit. Can anyone help? Please.

Howdy there and welcome to the forums,

When the registration screen appears do you get a little box popup saying - install activex?

Alternatively make sure you don't have any popup blockers installed, if you have installed any new toolbars then delete them.

Can you also try resetting your IE settings to default. > Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - reset default

Thank you for your quick reply, I reset the default, now, do I have to uninstall those indicated programs and re-install? Or should I be good to go.

Well try to register your program and see if it works, if it doesn't then uninstall any toolbars and try again.

Ok, so, it wouldn't let me register still. So I tried to uninstall (from Add/Remove) and the following message came up.
"setup was unable to update the MSI system component. If this problem continues, please contact Microsoft at www.microsoft.com"
What to do? Do I follow the instructions?

Which program are you trying to remove, quickbooks ??

Could you post a screenshot of the blank screen you get when you try and register, also open your add/remove programs and take a screen shot of that so we can see what is in it.
