Default IE 7 Beta uninstall problems

I installed IE 7 Beta 1 awhile back. Now that Beta 2 is out, I have to uninstall 1 first, because Beta 2 doesn't install over the top of it. The problem is, when I try to uninstall it from the 'Add/Remove Windows Components' section of the Add/Remove Programs, it asks me to insert the WinXP installation disk, which I don't have.

Then I tried clicking 'show updates' on the main add/remove programs list, but it doesn't show up. Is there any other way to uninstall it?

Not that I'm aware of - I would have told you to use the "show updates" method too. Do you not have an XP disc then?

Nope. I probably did get one, but I didn't use computers when I got this one, and it was probably thrown out with the box or something.

Hi i guess if the show updates method can't be done, maybe could u try this,

There is this website to show a step by step http://www.quirksmode.org/blog/archi...lling_and.html removal.

or if it does not work, u can try the btm method

If the "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1" does not exist, run %windir%\$NtUninstallie7bet1p$\spuninst\spuninst.e xe. To do this, you need to have "view hidden folders" enabled.
