Default [Resolved] - MAJOR problems

Hi guys,

I'm desperate for some help. ALL day today my comp has been running so slow it's untrue. I've been unable to log on here it's that bad. Doesn't matter what i'm trying to do - it's not happening. Differences today from yesterday are:

I thought I had a virus so ran AVG - no problems
So I ran spybot - no problems
Checked on Zone alarm and it said I didn't have an AV installed, so installed McAfee to be sure. Ran it - no problems
Then installed Bit Defender and ran it - no problems

Yesterday it was fine, absolutely nothing wrong. Today, it's crazy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

PS. We won the cup today, so if i'm a little 'off' with my typing that's the excuse! (celebrating!)

Did you install any new hard or software before this started?

If not then im thinking either a fan died in youre pc , or a nasty virus since it started so sudden. Have a go at the prework and look if all fans still work inside.

PS , it sounds like you have now 2 AV's installed? I would disable or uninstall one of them , its never recommended to have 2 AV's running at the same time.

Hey Joe,

No. I had AVG on it's own and then downloaded the others one at a time. I'm back to just AVG now. And nope, no new installs at all, but I received a file from a friend via messenger which was a bit suspicious. I'll report the prework back mate. Thanks.

Yup, forgot to add it.

And just to add to the first post, I also ran scan disk but that was fine, and I even tried system restore for 3 different points last week, but it says nothing has changed so won't restore. And online Panda won't work either for some reason!

Cheers Joe.
