Default pc keeps restarting

went I just recently turned on my computer it would boot up and I got a error saying something about 'just recovered from a serious error' would you like to send or don't sent and either choice I made it would restart again. So the next time I held the f8 and selected start at the last time everything was ok. As I started to run spybot search and destroy, the computer restarted again.
I didn't know what the problem could be so I immediately came here. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Just wanted to mention as far as my computer knowledge goes it's next to nothing. Where do I begin. I also ran system spec and something advisor but don't even know how to get it on the post. Thanks I'll wait for some input
Mark

Does this also happen in Safe Mode? If not, you could try running safe mode, and doing a scan. If you can get into safe mode, you can also try doing http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...r-hjt-log.html and then posting the logs that it requests back into this same thread, using attachments.

If you do the PreWork (the url i posted) you can get better help. They will come in here and look at your logs and can determine better what is going on.

Hey Guys,

@IOWNAPC, please do not direct users regarding malware, please leave that to staff only.

@Kram, my welcome to the forums to you.

In this instance, I would like you to do the prework, however, if you need hand holding through that, we can arrange it. I just need to know a bit more about your computer.

Can you please tell us what OS you are using, XP, ME, etc. What anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall you are currently using, and what programs you may already have?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW
