Default [FIXED]HELP!! Real Challenge BIOS settings PLEASE!!

sup all, thanks for reading and please help me. I recently reformatted my hardrive and my audio devices dont work. I did eveything up to installing and updating my audio drivers and it still doesnt work. The "Help" feature of XP direct me to altering my BIOS settings because my sound device is built into my mother board. As you know ALtering the BIOS setting is pretty hard. BUt Only altering the BIOS settings will hopefully solve my problem. If you're familiar with altering the BIOS settings and know how to fix this ****ty problem PLease help! I know this is frustrating and all but i figure yall need some challenge. I was wondering does buying a new audio device and installing it help or not cause it seems like altering the BIOS setting is a pain. Thankx much if this post interest ya and you decide to dig in. THankx all!

I used the help and support feature and did everything they sed until it says that I need to alter my BIOS settings because my sound device is built into my motherboard. I'm not sure how to alter my BIOS settings.

Default Specs

Hi Sntinman87,

Right lets get the full spec of your pc first, go to the link here, download and install the Everest app and run it, then save the spec in a .txt format with notepad and upload it to here as an attachment.

I have found that creative kit can be a nightmare to install. What I do is uninstall all the creative software that I can find in the Add/remove programs in the control panel. Make sure you have the correct driver disk before you do this.
  • Shut the PC down,
  • remove the card ( be carful if you do this, make sure that the pc is off, the plug in the wall is in but switched off, earth yourself by touching the pc case for a couple of seconds, then remove the card).
  • restart the pc without the card
  • shut the pc down
  • install the card
  • use the disk for the creative card to install it, not the standard windows way.
Let us know how you get on

Hya Radar. He mentioned he has integrated sound so that wont work im afraid.

@Sntinman87 , if you only formatted youre pc then youre bios settings should still be ok. But even if not , altering bios settings is easy , no need to buy a new card over that.

But youre motherboards model would help , you can find the exact model out with the app that Radar linked.

Which driver have you tried? And where did you get that from?
And if you look in youre device manager , do you see any question marks , or exclamation points?
