Question [Fixed] - pesky windows installer probs...

hey all i am back again this time i had xp pro with front page installed on one of my slaves and i accidentally wiped that drive when i ment to hit the other slave and now every time i open eplorer windows installer keeps trying to install it and i cant get it to stop can someone help me here are my pc specs

xp pro
pentium celeron 334mhz
8gb main hd
28 gb slave hd
111 gb secondary slave
ge-force 4000mx 64ddr 128 ram
additional 128 ram in stick form
and that is all i can think of but i need help getting the pesky windows installer to stop popping up can some one plz help me

Hey there LT.Ozzy

Something must have been installed on that slave drive that windows was trying to use.

Is it just a little installer bar that wants to complete an installation or it is the whole Windows XP setup instructions?

If it is just a box then I recommend you put in your XP disc and allow the program to install the files it wants.
Once it has installed them then it shouldn't prompt you with that box again.

You can also try this , download and run this tool:

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...BD/msicuu2.exe

And see if Front Page is listed , if it is , then remove it with the tool.

hey zimbo ty but it was actually an extension for xp called microsoft office with front page and it is on its own seperate set of disks and what happened is i had it on my d drive and when i went to wipe my e drive because i wasnt able to get it to show the full sie of the drive i wiped the wrong drive and my pc was still looking for the program and couldnt find it the windows cleanup utility that joe told me about worked wonders thank you both you all have been so helpful
i also have an advertisement for the site on my poetry site because you all are just so great i thought i could share the experience to all that visit my site that are having pc probs ty and night all
