hi there.

there's a picture icon on my desktop. it's a blank paint doc and when i right-click on it i don't get the normal options (delete, rename, copy, etc.) and nothing happens when i drag it to the recycle bin. i've run a virus scan and come up with nothing. how do i get rid of this thing?

thanks.

Hi Airplane,

Welcome to The PCHF,
Try downloading the app called Killbox from here, http://www.scanwith.com/Pocket_KillBox_download.htm
save the program to your pc, extract it and run it. This should get rid of the file.
Let us know how you get on.

killbox won't accept the file when i try to select it (browse). i tried typing the title in manually and it told me the file does not seem to exist.

I had the same problem but with an exe file. Download Dr. Delete and it will delete it.

same thing with drdelete. it's telling me the file is either nonexistent, or the path is incorrect. the icon is there and selectable in the browse window, but neither apps recognized it.

Sounds like a job for Delinvfile.exe. (delete invalid file.exe)
