Help please.
I spent hours working on some spreadsheets - left my desk for only a few minutes and XP performed an update and automatic restart! It seems as if I have lost the files I was working on as I had not at that point saved them, nor is my excel set up to always create a back up (since rectified).
Am I right in assuming the data is lost forever or is there some clever way of restoring my desktop?
Iain.

Hi mullie
I don't think u can retrieve it unless u have saved it before u worked on it. While waiting for the pros to come, u might as well start ur work.

Hi - thanks for that. I kinda thought this was the case but it just seemed possible that, because XP carried out the restart, it would automatically save the open applications somewhere.
Thanks anyway. |
