Default Outlook wont Send Emails...

Hey,
I was working on sending my emails today, and all of a sudden, they didnt actually send. They all appeared in the outbox, and it eventually came up with an error message:

Task 'Connor Shinn - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I looked at Comcast's website, but they were completely unhelpful. They dont offer support for Outlook 2003, and any live chat/emails that I try, they just tell me to go away. Does anyone know whats wrong?

Thanks,
Connor707

Hya Conner.

If you didn't change any settings or anything then i would asume it is a prob on youre isp's end. I would wait abit to see if it doesn't resolve itself.

Ok, I was kinda thinking that. I know that this happened once before, and despite my best efforts, it ended up just resolving itself. Although, last time I talked to a chat representative, and he seemed clueless to the fact that there was a problem. But, Ill just wait and see, Thanks Joe!

Most call centers work on a script.

Have you installed a Firewall recently? If so, have you let Outlook access the internet.

Is this problem only with sending emails, can you recieve emails succesfully?
