My com automatically updated and installed security update for windows xp 908531.
After that i found out that that update messes up my com so i uninstalled it and restarted my com.
What happens after i logon my user is a window pops up asking me to re activate my windows xp key.
So i typed in the serial key on the back of my cpu and windows said that they do not recognise it.
I pressed remind me later and my com logs off.
I'm using another com to post this...obviously.
What should I do??
Or did my configuration in msconfig caused this problem?

hmm based on the thread, that means security update for windows xp kb 908531 doesn't make me re activate my windows.
so is msconfig the culprit?
