Default [Fixed] Slow Performance

Hello,

This is only my second post. If I'm posting in the wrong forum, please tell me.

My computer is performing very slowly, especially when opening Outlook 2000 and individual e-mails. The computer isn't old and didn't always do this. I downloaded PC Wizard 2006, but it seems that is mostly for hardware. Can anyone recommend software that will identify a particular problem? I did notice that my CPU usage goes to 50% when I open an e-mail.

Another problem that I have is Photoshop is suddenly acting strangely. I've never seen anything like it. I can do some things in the program, but when I select a certain function, the program locks up. It's not specific to a file and happens over and over again.

If you're interested in helping, I'd appreciate it and will provide you with as many details as you'd like.

Thanks,

Sean

Hya Mne_21.

Let's first have a look for mal-ware problems , if you follow the instructions in the "Prework" link below and post back with the two resulting log files then we'll start with those.

Thanks for your help.

I followed the instructions. When in Safe Mode, I used the administrator profile. Although my personal profile has administrator privileges, I couldn't see the log that I saved to the desktop when I logged into regular mode under my personal profile. I went back to Safe Mode and saved the log to a different spot. The Desktop for the administrator must be different than that of a profile with administrator privileges?

Here are the two logs. Again, I appreciate your help.

I dont see anything wrong there , looks like you are doing a very good and secure job in keeping youre pc , and data save.

Have you also defragged youre HD lately? And do you use an registry cleaner every now and then? If not , give this one a try:

install and run RegSupremePro. It will want to make a backup of your registry , let it. Once it has finished, click on the Registry Cleaner tab, select Aggressive. When it has completed, click on Select, choose All. Click on Fix, and let it fix everything that it finds.

I'm glad it looks good. Thanks for checking it out.

I defragged a few weeks back. I ran RegSupremePro and it found a bunch of errors. I can send the list if it would help. I fixed them. The problem still occurs in Outlook. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for all your help!

I have a Hp Laserjet that I've had for a long time. The CPU is a Dell.

Photoshop is an older version.

Thanks for your help!
