Default Some display problems.

I'm having some graphics problems. My computer wont play any videos ect thats using the windows media player on a webpage.

If you dont know what I mean, I mean this - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...l/Untitled.jpg

It's always been able to play them, but now it's just stopped. I have my flashplayer updated and stuff, but it still doesnt work.

Another problem is, I'm using the Windows Live Mail Beta, but it wont let me view it using any web browser, but IE. I never use IE, so its kinda annoying. It lets me view it using any browser on my laptop.

It's nothing big, but these do get annoying.

What firewall are you using Ryan? This could be a problem with NetShow not being allowed the ports it needs from your PC to the website(s) in question.

Hi Ryan!

Are you using Firefox when you get that problem? For serious, streaming WMP content just started working for me one day. When you are at a site like that and you have a problem copy the full URL into the address bar in IE (I know you hate it) and see if it works.

Do you have the latest version of Firefox. I believe the problem might have something to do with a bug in 1.5.

I use the firewall in Norton Internet Security 2005.

I use Maxthon. But it doesn't work in Firefox either. I only updated Firefox last night too.

Try turning Norton Firewall off completely and then test it.

Nope, it still doesn't work. Even if I download the file, and try to play it on the actual media player itself, it says it cannot play because I'm not connected to the internet... but I am.

Do you have the Windows Firewall enabled and are you using a router?
