Default Programs with no disk to flash drive??

Hi Y'all,

I was wondering if its possible to download free programs off the net to a flash drive so I can put them on a PC that is not hooked up to the net?

I have a 1G flash drive & the size of the programs are 4.00KB's according to the general tab in the properties screen.

I searched this forum & GOOGELD but I dident find what I was looking for .

Thank You Very Much

Hya SL.

Sure , thats no problem at all. Just download or copy the installers you want , and save them to the flashdrive. Hook it up to the second pc and run the installers as normal.

But im pretty sure that that wont be the apps/installers , 4kb is normally the size of a shortcut only. You have to copy the downloaded installers to the flashdrive , not the shortcut of the already installed programs.

I dont know if you still have the installers on youre pc , and if you do , where they are. So it is probebly easier to re-download them.

If you go to the download page of the apps and then rightclick on the download link and select "save target as" then browse to the flash drive just like you would do to youre harddisk , and press "ok". Then the installer will be saved on the flash drive.

Well I got the spyhunter screenshot to transfer but I'm thinking I might have to be hooked to the net to get the
www.iii.org program in there because it shows up with little red X's & don't do anything I tryed it 2 times

also the old ****py Kodak EZ200 digital camera needs upgraded info to work with XP that I guess I dont know how to transfer the info properly

My plan was to use this old camera to take the photos for the home inventory thing {mainly tools} then transfer the files to the good puter & burn to disk

Come to find out that my DVD burner dont work I have never backed up my stuff & was asking the PC company witch version of McAffe to get & then I asked how to back up files

HA HA{not funny really} we spent 5 hours trying to get it to work :o

well they are sending me a new one for me to install because I don't want to be without my PC

any way

Y'all Have a happy Easter if that is in your religion {if not please disregard}
