Hi there andy, welcome to PCHF

Did you restore any data from a previous installation of Windows after you had installed XP?

hi hengis

no i never restored any data.........all i did was booted from the xp disk done a clean format of the C drive installed xp and ive had the problems since then.....my computer worked fine before the re-installation so thats why i think its a software thing rather than hardware.......i may be wrong im not an expert.......there is no conflics in the device manager either.

Did you also install all up to date drivers for youre hardware , and have you updated windows after the format?

Other then that , after a format there shouldn't be any software problems left.

Lets have a look at the tempertures and voltages of youre pc , you can use this app for that:

http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Report back the readings please.

Did it also show tempertures and voltage readings? Like on the first screenshot on this page:

Can you post those?

The program was unable to get my voltages or temp........it seems like nothing is working on this computer now........it must be a hardware issue.......is there anyway to test the motherboard or processor?.....thanks
