Angry [Fixed] Missing 'click' sounds

This morning I downloaded the beta version of IE7. It kept on locking up on me and made the computer slow. I did a system restore to get rid of it and get my IE6 back. Now, the clicking sound is missing...the one you hear when you click on a link on a web page....or the foward/back page on the tool bar for that matter. All other sounds are normal and everything else seems to work.

Does anyone know how to get that 'click' sound back?

I also ran a scan disk.

Hi rick, welcome to PCHF.

Click on Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds Tab > Drop down the box at the top and select Windows Default > click OK and that should do it.

Thanks! I was able to get that 'horrible click sound' back by following what you wrote.
