Red face [Fixed]Incredibly stupid

Hello,
I hope some guru out there can help me as I am as the title says incredibly stupid. . Let me give a few details on my latest stupid stunt.

1. I have a family desktop PC.
2. I have a work laptop.
3. I had the bright idea to network these PC's so I could share files wirelessly. Cool... listen to tunes from my desktop while working on my laptop.
4. I changed from a domain to user group on my laptop as I also did with my desktop.
5. I reboot the desktop, for the changes to take place, no problem.
6. I reboot the laptop, for the changes to take place, BIG problem.

It seems that because I changed my from a domain to user group on my laptop my username & password are no longer valid. PROBLEM. Completely & totally locked out of my work laptop. What an incredibly stupid thing to do I hear you all cry. Well yeah. D'OH . I tried booting in safe mode & still no good which made me feel even dafter.

Does anyone have any advice that can help me.....other than contact my companys tech support

Default Domain

Hi Doogz,
Welcome to The PCHF,

Ouch, not a fun feeling there (did it once too). If you know what the local administrator password is, you should be able to log on to the laptop.

Unfortunately you will have to call your company tech support to get the laptop put back onto the domain.
As to the file sharing you probably can't as the pc and laptop are on different domains.

Dell user thanks figured I have made a hash of it enough & decided not to try & hack the password.

Radar thanks my PC now winging it's way to tech support, down side is they are in another country. Ouch...expensive.
