Question Trouble With Desktop After Reboot?.please help.

Hi,all.

Curious question.
i recently 'unrar'd' some wallpaper picks to my desktop by mistake, instead of to a folder.

i dragged n dropped um into a folder on desktop.
now everytime i reboot, they appear once again as seperate icons all over the desktop?.
even if i delete them/delete folder/and empty recycle bin, they still appear on next reboot?.

anyone had a similar problem,or any idea what may be wrong.

thank you in advance, for any help or advise.

b.t.w. im using xp pro with sp2.but have made no other changes.

Hi shamus!
Welcome to PC Help Forum!

Would you be able to post a screenshot of your desktop?

Hya Shamus.

Sounds like a strange windows bug to me.

Try erasing them instead of deleting them. You can use this app for that:

And see if they still come back.
