Default Video Controller has Yellow Exclamation Mark

Operating system: Windows XP Home edition with SP2. My problem is I have a Yellow question Mark and Yellow Exclamation mark for the Video Controller (VGA Compatible) MFGR: Unkown, Location: PC1 Bus 1, Device 0, function 0 .
Device status : The driver for this Device are not installed (Code 28)
I have tried to reinstall the drivers and MS hardware wizard states can not install this hardware the hardware was not installed because the wizard can not find the necessary software. Resources: this device is not using any resources because it has a problem. I have tried on the internet to update the drivers but will not update drivers. Driver details: No driver files are required or have been installed for this device. My question is what is my next step to resolve the yellow question and exclamation mark Disable it, uninstall device,
Roll Back driver ???

hi, welcome to pchf,
it seems like you need to goto the device manager scroll down to the video controller and delete it, restart your computer and then try to install the driver again.
