Thanks Hengis for your reply, If the drive is that badly damaged would it be worth trying to save it with a cooler as the tempreture after half an hour is 43 degrees, What is the best SATA 1 drive(120-160Gb) to get for performance & running cool? coupled with a hard drive cooler such as the Zalman heatpipe HD cooler. the antec one with 2 fans and aluminium heatsink or even a vantec vortex HD cooler.
As I am on a very limited budget of around ?70 -80 for both items I need to know which is the better drive & the best cooling solution? appreciate your help again
Many thanks
