Explorer, as in the Windows shell, explorer.exe or Internet Explorer ?
If you have a Windows XP Cd and can get to the run command - type in sfc /scannow and let Windows re-build it's system files.

How did you exactly remove the Spyfalcon infection? What did you use , and what did you remove ?

I went into safe mode, went into system32, and removed ginurep.exe or .dll one of the two.
I also used AVG and Ad-aware. I did follow this guide from a website. Which told me to run Smitrem, and add another file to my registry, and that could have messed it up. I went to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic43659.html The file im suspicous about is FIXsf.req which I added to the registry. And I think I cancelled something on Smitrem. It said something about a cleanup taking a long time, so I cancelled it then. I explorer.exe (main system not Internet explorer) will still not run in safe mode either. |

There is nothing wrong with those instructions from Bleepingcomputer.com. I would have given the same advice/tools , but it sounds like the problem is that you interupted the cleaning process.
Try to run it again and let it fully finish this time , hopefully that fixes the problem.
