Default Blue Screen warning & losing my minimized windows

Hello, my name is BigDummy and I'm computer illiterate. I have 2 questions (probably easy for you guys). #1. When I get on my computer I get a blue screen warning that says my computer has been infected with spyware. Now I've taken care of ( I think) the spyware problems and eliminated the spyware but how do I get rid of the blue screen warning?? Question #2... I can't seem to find my open windows? When I open a window and then minimize it it disappears?? I have no idea what I've done and am sure it is something easy......but I just can't seem to figure it out. I'd appreciate any help you would be able to provide. Thank You.

Hya BD39 , welcome to PCHF.

Sounds like a good possibility that youre pc is still infected with some mal-ware. If you click on the "Prework" link below and follow the instructions there , and post the 2 resulting log files then we'll have a look at that.

It sounds like for your second question that the task bar is hidden. That means in order to see the task bar the mouse has to be at the bottom of the screen. To change that you want to right click on the task bar, then select properties. Then you want to uncheck the auto hide task bar if it is checked, and that should solve that problem. Good luck

Hey Guys,

@BigDummy, please follow Joe5's instructions before beginning any other trouble shooting.

@JDrisc3480, Welcome to PCHF as well. While we appreciate all users helping each other, when ever there is potential malware involved, as there is here, it is best to allow the staff, specifically the Security Team to handle it. It is also a very good idea to make sure you are dealing with a clean machine before trying other trouble shooting methods.

See you both in the forums,

TTFN
