Default title bar changes to chinese

Hi gang, I am running Windows XP sp2 and lately when on the web going to a website that uses adobe reader to view, the title bar (very top of the page with the IE icon) changes into chinese characters. Everything else is in english and I have not reset any encoding or languages. Also, sometimes when clicking onto a hyperlink windows will load about 52 windows and I have to wait till they quit loading and close the group. The latter problem occurred first and has been an ongoing problem. Has anyone heard of something like this and what is the fix? I religiously run updates on AV and Anti-spyware plus firewall. Thanks Dogbait

Hya DB , you can fix these with hijackthis:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdReg] C:\WINDOWS\UpdReg.EXE
And do you know what this one is from?

O4 - Startup: Cigars Print.lnk = C:\BBDISP\BBPRINT.EXE
If not , please upload the file in bold to this site:

http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

And report back with the result.

Joe,
I have ran Hijackthis and checked the 4 files for fixed as mentioned above and it shows that they were deleted? But the title bar still displays in chinese when utilizing the adobe acrobat reader. I have even re-installed the adobe acrobat reader 7.0 without any success. Everything else is in english except the title bar. Did I do any further damage by selecting the files you mentioned in your last reply? And if so, what measures should I take? Thanks for your patience and help. Dogbait

make sure you acrobat reader isn't a chinese version. It must be an english version or it will show funny characters.
