Hello there Lynnybird and welcome to PCHF

Firstly you will need to know where you download your file to, when you first click on download it will give you the option to choose where you want to save it.
To make it easy for you I recommend that you save it onto your 'Desktop'.

Once you have downloaded it do the following:
  • Look for the file on your desktop, once you have found it right click on it and choose copy.
  • Insert your blank floppy disk into the drive
  • Then open 'My Computer', there should be an icon on your desktop already, if not you can click on Start --> My Computer.
  • Double click on the A: (floppy) drive icon then click on edit - paste.
  • It should start copying the file onto your disk.
On the other machine you basically reverse the above steps:
  • Put the floppy disk into the machine
  • Open My Computer and double click on the A: (floppy) drive icon.
  • Right click on the file and choose copy.
  • Then browse to the location where you want to save the file, in this case you can just right click on your desktop and choose paste.
  • The file will then be copied over.
If you need more help just let us know.

What file are you trying to copy over onto the other PC?

If it is just an installation file then copy it onto the desktop and install it from there.

Just copy it onto the desktop and then double click on it. This will install the file onto your machine.
