Default [Answered] How Do I Remove Most Of My Files?

Hi, I will be selling this computer and I want to remove most of my files but I can't seem to find where most of the files are... I have 74.5 GB of total space and I only have 30.7 GB of free space. I still have files that havent been deleted and sum up about 20 GB. I would still have 50 GB of free space. Can I recover all the free space(74.5GB)??? But I still want to keep a couple of files(such as flash, adobe, some antispyware programs, etc), so then I would probably have 70GB of free space left.

...... So how do I find the other files. And should I delete all the "Temporary Internet Files" etc?

Yup , thats a great app to see what is on youre HD and where. And to clean up all temp files , try Ccleaner. See below for a link.

Also delete old system restore points , they can take up lots of space.

If you go to: start/all programs/accessoires/system tools/disk cleanup , and then on the "more options" tab at the bottum next to "system restore" , press "clean up" then there gone.

That is difficult to say , i dont know whats on there , and what you want to leave or not.

Is it maybe not easier to just putt a windows cd in there , format and install windows and then sell it?
