Question [Fixed] reinstall xp

:icon_scra using a version of windows that came on pc,need to reinstall my version as this is a duplicate copy and wont download any updates ,is there any option to install new version without losing everything,otherwise ill use the upstairs external drive and backup onto that,any help appreciated.

My advice...backup first then format the drive before re-installing.

ive wiped it and installed my windows,problem being i must have a partition ,because it says my drive is something like 125 gb ,when its double that ,and if i have how do i access the other part:merror:

Hey Wonderbar,

Right click on My Computer and click on Manage, click on Disk Management.

If you have an additional partition, you should be able to access it and format it from there.

Sounds like you haven't updated windows yet , you need to have atleast sp1 installed to be able to use the full HD.
