I have a mobo and want to install the sound drivers. i CAN install them from the CD the mobo came with, and the sound works, however I want to download the latest drivers off the nvidia's website... for two main reasons:
1. i want to have the most up to date drivers
2. the drivers that come with the CD install some audio program which if you try to uninstall, the whole driver gets uninstalled.
My mobo is ASUS A8N-SLI Premium. Here are the two drivers i tried installing from nvidia's website.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_...2_winxp64.html
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_...2_win2kxp.html
both didn't work. am i downloading the wrong ones? thanks.

These are the drivers you should be using: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_..._amd_6.70.html if you have integrated sound.
