Default Explorer Large/Buttons fonts no backgrounds

Hi,
I have a second hand pc and all the fonts and buttons on IE are huge and thee are no backgrounds or effects. I hvae run accessibility wizard, changed IE text size and checked text size in display properties. but i cannot find the problem, anyone ahve any ideas?

Hi , thanks for the reply, when i said buttons i mean buttons appearing on web pages such as good etc. also i dont have backgrounds or any type of effects on web pages.

Hi Andrew , if you go to (in an I.E. window) "tools" and then "internet options" , Press the "defaults" button on these three tab's:

security
privacy
and advanced

And see if that helps. Also is it only in I.E.? If not , what resolution are you using?

hi thanks joe, but this doesnt work its something to do with accessibility or something becasue when u type in the address bar the fflickering marker where u tye is blakc and like half a centre metre wide. ALL pages are like in plaint text version almost, for examples the horizontly navigation on this page has just blue text for links.
