Question [Fixed] crash reports-please help!!

I don't have a clue as to where to post this, but maybe someone could put it in the right spot later? My mom needs some help. She bought some games off gamehouse.com. 12 to be exact. 8 of them downloaded just fine, but the other 4 aren't working. She contacted gamehouse.com's support group, but the only advice they offered was "make sure you have the latest version of DirectX", which she installed, and they also said "its also important to have the latest sound and video card drivers for your computer." First off, how do we know if we do have the latest drivers, and if we don't, how do we get them? What kind of info do you need to help me?

When she tries to install the games, she gets a crash report for each game she's trying to download. So, whats going on? She can't get her money back obviously, so she's pretty annoyed that she can't get these to install. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. THANKS!

 Hey ND,

Nice to see you back. Tell your mom that we will figure out a way to get her programs downloaded.

First of all can you give us her specs? OS, vsn, vid card, sound card? We'll go from there.

 NP ND,

LOL, get on your mom's PC, and download and run Belarc advisor from my signature. It will give you all of the information that you need. Just cut and paste the relevant parts. Just an aside, this program does not spread your information to the internet, but you will see an html page. It is extremely helpful to have this information on your system, and you should both save the page, and update it from time to time just in case.

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN

Ok we downloaded Belarc, but when we were looking over the report, I couldn't find where the vsn, sound and video cards were located. What does vsn stand for? Also, she said she wasn't comfortable with posting all that information online, so could I mail you privatly? Or, if I just copy and paste the info you need, will she still be safe?

Thank you!!

Also, we're wondering why the games that we were able to download worked without any problems, and why the others that didn't get installed, won't download?
