Default [Answered] Laptop Strange problem

Hi guys, my laptop has truly a strange problem. I just reformated my laptop, and after reformating, i install service pack 2, and then went to "windows update" to update my laptop. But after a few days later, when i start up the laptop, the cpu light keep on blinking furiously as though it is running a lot of program, in fact it didn't cos i never have any applications running except MSN. After the blinkling of the cpu link stopped, it will display a error message saying "windows cannot save this file to c://windows/system32/"somefilename" . How can i stop the cpu light from blinking if i never have any applications/games on ?

Matt

Yup , the filename could help.

And did you had a firewall up from the moment you connected to the net? Maybe its an idea to check for malware.
