Hi there Fltstone , welcome to PCHF.

So you cant boot at all anymore right now? How far does it go in the boot process before showing that error?

And how does it look like? Does it look like something from windows , or could it be from the monitor?

Windows loads completely I think. but instead of my desk top I get not supported. My system is frozen there and I must do a hard boot to shut it down. I thought I had corrupted of missing files so I tried Win XP repair with my operating disk. That went well but it didn't help.

Instead of selecting Safe-Mode, select Enable VGA Mode: This option starts Windows in 640 x 480 mode by using the current video driver (not Vga.sys). This mode is useful if the display is configured for a setting that the monitor cannot display.

IF THIS DOESN'T WORK

Is this a CRT (old style) monitor?

If it is then you may need to borrow a Flat Panel (LCD) monitor from someone as your Windows install thinks that you have chosen a refresh rate or resiolution that your monitor can't support.

I can't get to my control panel in windows. I was using a samsung 32" plasma that gave me not supported, now I have a older crt hooked up that says out of range. I was wondering is there anyway to adjust range in BIOS?

You wont have to go to youre controll panel to try that. Just reboot youre pc , keep tapping f8 whille booting up untill you see this menu:

http://www.windowsitpro.com/Files/8918/figure_01.gif

And select "enable vga mode" there.
