Windows XP/2000 - delfolders.exe posted in the Operating Systems forums; Hi, Whenever i start up my computer and start xp i get this message "Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\Tools\DelFolders.exe." Don't know why this is can anybody help please. O0...

Hi, Whenever i start up my computer and start xp i get this message "Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\Tools\DelFolders.exe."

Hi donboost, click on this link http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...r-hjt-log.html , and paste a log file resulting from the hijack this program here. This delfolders.exe is most likely from a spyware. Attach a log here, and i'm sure the techs will get to you shortly.

@Matt , When using the Prework , also ask to have the Ewido log posted. But it doesn't seem to be malware related anyway in this case.


And @Donboost , what motherboard are you using? An ECS (Elite Group) motherbaord by any change?

It seems to be from a motherboard driver and nothing to worry about. But it looks like you can copy that file from youre motherboard cd to that location , or create a fake file named "DelFolders.exe" and place it in there , the prob is gone.
