Default [Fixed] Big gaps in hard drive

After defragging my drive C, i notice that there are huge gaps between the files. I have 4 groups of files instead of 1. I heard this can slow the system down.
Is there a way I can bunch them all together again?
I have not split my hard drive into groups etc
Well, not knowingly anyway lol
thanks

Hi and welcome to PCHF

If the "big gaps" are showing in the defrag screen then don't worry about it. You won't get rid of them thru Windows defrag and they won't give you performance slow downs that you would be able to notice anyway. With defrag you're really only looking to remove the red blocks (fragmented files) so long as they have gone then the "limited" defrag built in to Windows has done its job.
