Make sure it is on the correct cable location , and jumper placing. But also it sounds like you are trying to boot up with an old windows installation from an other pc on the HD?

You always have to reinstall the O.S. after doing something like this.

Joe is right, a Windows installation on a harddrive only works in the PC on which it is installed. The only thing to do is get it back in your old PC, back those files up, and reinstall Windows on your new computer.
