I'm in the same boat as you, I'm cheap
But after this little... problem... I'd rather spend a reasonable amount of money to help prevent it happening again. Because if it happens again and I'm still using Norton... It'll do the exact same thing, maybe even worse. So I prefer buying a better AV and Firewall (too bad it doesn't work with ZoneAlarm... love that firewall)
