I'm not sure why your PC would restart but maybe This link to the Deamon Tools site might be some help it looks like the first guy had the same problem as you.

If it started just after installing that update from MS , then uninstall it (in safemode if needed) in add/remove programs and post back with the KB number from it please.

Deamon tools does NOT work with Kernel Debugger programs, its was clearly metioned at install screen

damoen tools does not work at all anymore. I installed anothger virtual drive program and it shuts down my computer also when i try to create a virtual drive. My computer shuts down whenever i try to make a virtual drive, withg any program.

the only thing different on my computer is the way i set it up after install. i followed these steps for installing windows and seting up my computer, could something in here cause the problem?

Maybe it has got to do with kernel debugger. Make sure ur kernel debugger is turned off.
