Default I am having some video troubles.

Hello,

I am completely new to this forum, but it looks good so far. Everyone is so nice, I like that. Anyways, I have a probem with my videoes. When I try to watch it, it either doesn't show up at all, or the colors are discoulered and inverted.

I searched the forum for a similar topic, but it was relating to an Nvidia video card, and mine is a Radeon 9550. Every time I reinstall the driver for my video card, it will work correctly, until I restart my computer.

It also affects my online streaming video. It looks the same as if I played it with Windows media player, real player, or any other media player I can think of. It's all the same. I recently formatted my hard drive, and reinstalled all the updated for my computer, so I can't imagin what it is.

Any help is deeply appreciated,

-Ham

Hi there and welcome to PCHF,

So you are saying that when you install the drivers everything returns to normal...then you only re-boot and ONLY(?) this is effected?

Yes, it only happens when the computer is rebooted. I haven't messed with the codecs, or installed any new ones. And the only way to fix it is to reinstall my Video Driver, and it fixes it until I reboot my computer.

do you completely uninstall/remove your old video drivers first? or just install the new ones? some drivers have an uninstall program/instructions at the manufacturers website.
