I'm running Windows XP Pro and when I right click a link and select Save Target As, nothing happens. Its not greyed out, and Content Advisor is not enabled.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello Chris Reeves and Welcome to PCHF,
Does this happen on all sites or just some. As some websites wont allow you to right click on them. Looking forward towards your reply so we can see if we need to go further

This happens on all websites, not just on certain ones.
Thanks, Chris |

What Internet browser are you using Chris?
Also, can you follow this pre-work so that we can dis-regard malware as a possible cause: http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...r-hjt-log.html

Are you always trying to save the same filetype, like mp3?
Or what filetype are you trying to download? |

This happens with all file types. Web page links, zip files, exe files, anything you can right click on.
But I can "Save Picture As" with pictures with no problems. I'm using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. Thanks, Chris Last edited by Chris Reeves; 01-08-2006 at 03:52 PM. |

I see, well, could you try to re-install IE?
Go to control panel, software, then click Add/Remove Windows components. Make sure IE is not selected. Then go back and reselect it. Also, have you got all the Windows Updates on IE? Bluefish |
