Unhappy Crashing PC, Help Needed

Hi,
Im new here. I have only just joined this community, and was not quite sure where to put my thread, so General Chat, seemed the best place to start.

My Problem:
I am building my own PC. I have all of the neccessary parts and the like. I have installed windows XP Professional. Everything seemed to run fine. Audio and Video drivers are installed. The problem is, whenever I go to play a game, the current one being 'Star Wars Battlefront 2', it begins to load up a level, then crashes. This also happens when trying to play 'BattleField 2' and 'Doom 3'. I, at the time of writing I have tried almost everything I could think of, and am at the end of my tether. I have baisically given up. If anyone could PLEASE tell me a way to solve my problem, I would be so very grateful!

Well, when you say all the latest drivers, for what hardware do you mean?
I have installed the latest drivers for my Nvidia graphics card, the sound drivers are up to date, everything I can think of is up to date.
Do you mean the Windows Updates? If so, that is kinda impossible for myself, as I have no internet access to the said PC.

Hi MM,

What does your Windows XP event log tell you about the errors relating to the crashes?
